Wild Bee Honey - Mt. Agung, Bali
The honey farmers had lost their market for the selling of honey due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Located in Tenganan village in Karangasem in the north of the island, the honey is gathered by traditional honey farmers high up on the slopes of Mount Agung, and has been done this way for hundreds of years. We believe it is very important to help keep this tradition alive. The Togetherness Project assisted the local honey harvesters with donation money from previous fundraising campaigns to pay the honey farmers in advance to get them producing honey again. We have been fortunate to sell all the honey produced so far which gives the farmers hope for the future. You can purchase honey by contacting us directly via email and tours are available to this region as well.
