Fresh Food Packs - Island of Bali
‘Crisis Bali Kitchen’ have delivered over 7000 fresh food packs to people most in need, all around the Denpasar area of Bali.
Families in Pesalakan Banjar cook 100 meals every day and deliver them to CRISIS BALI KITCHEN in Kerobokan. They distribute through their network to people who have no income, no savings and no ability to grow or produce food. They feed fisherman, surf instructors, trash collectors and others also on advise from the government in poverty stricken areas of Bali.
So far this initiative has provided work for around 70 families in Pesalakan Banjar. Most of the families doing the cooking lost their jobs in the tourism industry at the beginning of the pandemic or the months after with the closure of Bali International Airport.
14 Families in Lokesarana Banjar started making 50 fresh food packs a day in August 2020 and have since produced over 2,000 fresh food packs.
This program will continue as long as we get donations through the gofundme campaign and the profit from programs like Bags of Hope.
